Advice for Trail Runners: The Nike Women's Pegasus Trail 4 Trail Running Shoes provide a great combination of grip and cushioning. A great option for runs involving trails and significant sections of road.

Underfoot Feel

The midsole is made of Nike's React foam. This is a technology used in a number of Nike road running shoes. It is lightweight and provides a smooth, responsive underfoot feel. It should provide ample comfort on sections of road.

From a grip perspective, the traction from the outsole will help you to move confidently over rocky and soft terrain.

The outsole is not designed to be able to cope well with lots of deep mud. Greater lug depth would mean decreased comfort on the road.

Upper Fit

The engineered mesh upper is sturdy and breathable. The toe area has extra reinforcement for durability reasons.

At the midfoot you will find Nike's Flywire technology. This helps to support your foot and hold it in place.

Ideal Run Type

The Nike Women's Pegasus Trail 4 Trail Running Shoes are best for training runs involving sections of road and trail. They are a great option if you are looking for cushioning, and more grip than you would traditionally find on road shoes.

We don't recommend the Peg Trail 4 for very muddy ground conditions.

Technical Features

  • Approximate weight: 233 grams (based on a women's US size 8)
  • Drop: 9.5 mm
  • The inspirational message by the heel will vary between "JUST DO IT" and "JUST RUN IT" depending on the shoe.

Sizing Advice

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
