Advice for Road Runners: The Nike Women's Pegasus 41 Road Running Shoes are the 41st edition of the legendary Pegasus line of running shoes. This edition has a major update as they now feature ReactX foam in the midsole.
The Pegasus 41 is designed to be durable, dependable and comfortable.
ReactX foam is engineered to reduce its carbon footprint by at least 43% in a pair of midsoles due to reduced manufacturing process energy compared to prior React foam. The carbon footprint of ReactX is based on cradle-to-gate assessment reviewed by PRé Sustainability B.V and Intertek China. Other midsole components such as airbags, plates or other foam formulations were not considered.
Underfoot Feel
As mentioned, the midsole now features ReactX foam. In contrast, the Pegasus 40 featured React foam. ReactX foam is 13% more responsive than previous React technology. The effect of this foam has to be considered in context of the fact that there is a Zoom Air unit at both the heel and the forefoot.
The combination of the ReactX foam and the two Zoom Air units should be responsive cushioning.
Nike's signature waffle-inspired rubber outsole - with grooves for added flexibility - is designed to provide durable traction on the road.
Upper Fit
A new system - the Dynamic Midfoot Fit system - results in the laces being tied to an internal midfoot band that wraps around the entire foot. This system provides support, comfort and durability.
The upper has an upgraded breathable engineered mesh - for improved durability.
Comfort is further enhanced by the extra padding on the collar, tongue and sockliner.
If you wore the Pegasus 40, you may be interested to know that the Pegasus 41 is built on the same MR-10 Last, so the fit should be very consistent.

Sizing Advice
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
